Prince Harry feared he "would become irrelevant" when Prince George turned 18, according to an upcoming book. Prior to the birth of Prince William and Kate Middleton's oldest son, Harry was behind his brother in the royal line of succession.

According to royal author Valentine Low, there was a period when Harry feared "his time was running out" to make use of his platform before George came of age.
Low quotes a royal source saying as such in his upcoming book Courtiers: the Hidden Power Behind the Crown, set to be released on October 6 and serialised in The Times.
