Prince Harry and his father Prince Charles haven’t exchanged a word since the “cordial but slightly awkward” fifteen-minute chat they had a week ago.
Sources close to Prince Charles have said he is “at a loss” to explain his son’s comments in an interview with NBC journalist Hoda Kotb at the Invictus Games.
Harry told the US broadcaster that he had dropped in on Her Majesty the Queen to make sure she was “protected” and “had the right people around her”.
It’s not entirely clear what he meant by the comments, and representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not reply to messages asking for clarification.
