Pop Smoke murder investigators arrest five in connection with rapper’s death

metro.co.ukPolice have arrested five people over the murder of rapper Pop Smoke, it has been confirmed.The Dior rapper was shot and killed in February at the age of 20 during a possible home invasion robbery at a Hollywood Hills property.
On Thursday, the Los Angeles Police Department announced that arrests had been made almost five months later. They tweeted: ‘LAPD Detectives have arrested three adult males & two juvenile males related to the Feb 19th murder of Bashar Jackson, a New York based rapper known as Pop Smoke. ‘We will provide further details as they become available.’ The shooting is said to have taken place shortly before 4:30am on 19 February.
