Officers searched the flat in Seven Sisters Road, London, closing the busy road shortly before 8pm on Friday, August 6, while they desperately hunted for the animals, MyLondon reports.
The Met Police confirmed that their activities had been related to an undisclosed hoax call, although the force didn't comment on whether the hoax call had been about the animals on the loose.
A spokesman said: "Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 7.48pm on Friday, August 6, following concerns for the welfare of residents at an address on Seven.
