A police officer has been shot dead and two others have been injured while attending a domestic violence incident in the US.
Commander Greg Carnicle, from Phoenix Police Department, suffered fatal injuries and could not be saved. His two colleagues were also wounded but are expected to recover.
The trio had been attending reports of a domestic violence incident at 40th Drive and Pinnacle Peak in Phoenix, Arizona. In a heartrending tribute to Commander Carnicle, his police force wrote: "Critical Incident: With heavy hearts we announce the passing of a Phx PD Commander. "Greg Carnicle was shot at the scene of a domestic violence call. "Two other officers also shot at 40th Drive and Pinnacle Peak.
