Police investigate 'connected' incidents as man hit by car and van is torched

Police are appealing for information about two “connected” incidents that saw a man struck by a car and pinned between two vehicles before a van was set on fire the next day.The first incident happened around 1pm on Friday, November 12.

A 43-year-old man was within a communal car park on Pinebank, Livingston, when he was stuck by a car, pinning him between his van and the car, causing him injury.The next day, at round 2.50am, officers received a report of a van on fire in a car park on Gowanbank, Ladywell.The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no injuries were reported.A 27-year-old man was arrested in connection with both incidents and released pending further enquiries.Officers are appealing for anyone with
