From the low of watching Steven Gerrard exit stage left, Rangers fans are now very much enjoying that new manager buzz. Gio van Bronckhorst is the new man in charge and he's arrived in Glasgow ahead of officially starting work at the club next week.

As all new bosses do, he'll want to make his mark on the squad and has undoubtedly already done due diligence on what he's inheriting.First and foremost, mind you, Van Bronckhorst will be looking to retain key players in January, especially given the prospect of Gerrard returning with intent to lure some of his former charges down to Aston Villa.

But if Rangers do lose anyone in January, some of the arriving funds could go to the new manager. With a vast knowledge of the Eredivisie, Van
