An easyJet passenger was escorted off a plane by police after refusing to wear a mask. Police officers boarded the plane at Glasgow Airport following reports that a passenger was not complying with flight attendant's demands.

In Scotland, England and Wales wearing a face covering is mandatory on planes and it is recommended in Northern Ireland, Glasgow Live reported.

The passenger was escorted off the plane alongside another companion - who acted in a "very aggressive" manner and took off his own mask and confronted airline staff.

Fellow passenger Gisela Martinez said "Just after take off, a woman was asked to wear a mask but was ignoring the airline staff. Have you witnessed a confrontation aboard a flight during the pandemic?
