Omar Sadiq was murdered during a “targeted attack” in the city’s southside. The 32-year-old was found in a pool of blood by officers after being knifed on Boydstone Road in the Pollok area at around 1.25pm on Tuesday.
He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. A probe was launched and cops remained at the scene, near Silverburn shopping centre, for several hours where they guarded an abandoned Audi car.Police Scotland have said they are following a “positive line of enquiry” in the investigation which is now officially being treated as murder.
