Since President Donald Trump was so late in responding to the coronavirus outbreak, and refusing to take responsibility for the myriad of federal missteps, his predecessor Barack Obama has taken to sharing helpful and timely COVID-19 information with his Twitter followers. On Apr. 22, he made a pretty big dig at Trump and his administration over still failing to have a national plan in place on how to handle the spread, testing and public health challenges of the virus. 44 then shared a New Yorker article titled “It’s Not Too Late to Go on Offense Against the Coronavirus.”

UTA has signed Peter Hamby, the journalist and host of the Snapchat news program Good Luck America, in all areas. Hamby, who is a contributing writer for Vanity Fair, previously worked at CNNas a national political correspondent.

The Obamas hosted the cast of the smash Broadway musical and local students at the White House for a daylong celebration of the arts in 2016 and on Monday (July 6) Michelle Obama gave the new Hamilton film a huge shout-out.

It's been quite a ride for Star Wars fans as the Skywalker Saga reached its end in December 2019, with the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. While fans weren't exactly elated by how things ended, they still have The Mandalorian to look forward to. Created by Jon Favreau, Star Wars' first live-action series, premiered on Disney+ in November 2019 and became a huge hit. Pedro Pascal, who stars as Mando got a ton of praise for his performance.

Kanye West isn’t the only celebrity with major political news, apparently. John Stamos wants in on the election action, too! The Fuller House star, 56, poked fun at the Kanye’s Twitter announcement that he’s running for president by announcing an election bid of his own. John posted a hilarious campaign poster (see it HERE) to Instagram on July 5 for the would-be Saget/Stamos 2020 ticket, and he had a fantastic slogan already: “Full House In The White House”.

Though he’s still in his 30s, Boston native Tommy Vietor sports a career that shames most everyone twice his age. After working as press secretary for a then-Senator Barack Obama, the self-described “political junkie” became Obama’s assistant press secretary during his White House administration. Vietor later served as Special Assistant to the President until early 2013, when he departed politics to pursue private sector consulting. In early 2017, Vietor founded Crooked Media with fellow erstwhile White House staffers Jon Favreau and Jon Lovett.

What a difference five years and one presidential election can make.
