Piers Morgan slams Matt Hancock for not resigning earlier over PPE and care homes failures

Piers Morgan has slammed "hopeless" Matt Hancock for not resigning earlier over numerous failures during his time as Health Secretary - from PPE and testing to care homes and Britain having the highest death toll in Europe.

This comes after Mr Hancock resigned over pictures - and then a video - showing the Health Secretary passionately kissing his aide Gina Coladangelo, 43, in Whitehall.

Initially, Prime Minister Boris Johnson rebuffed calls to sack Mr Hancock, with Mr Johnson’s spokesman refusing to say eight times whether he had broken the law.

Grieving families subsequently suggested that allowing Mr Hancock to stay in his position was a “slap in the face” for people who could not hug loved ones at funerals last month due to Covid
