Piers Morgan isn’t too excited about Freedom Day tomorrow, branding the end of lockdown restrictions ‘disingenuous nonsense’.
The nation is counting down the hours until Monday (July 19) when the majority of lockdown measures are lifted across England.
It will see nightclubs open and face masks moved to an advisable recommendation rather than law. However, on Sunday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak were both pinged by the NHS Test and Trace app after coming into contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19.
It was initially revealed that neither would have to self isolate as they planned on taking part in a pilot scheme that would have allowed them to continue working from Downing Street.
