Piers Morgan slammed for Olympic comments as bronze medallist boxer offers to fight him

Piers Morgan's comments about Olympic medals meaning nothing unless they are gold have continued to cause outrage online. Not one for holding back his often controversial thoughts, the former Good Morning Britain presenter, 56, tweeted: "Real sporting champions don’t celebrate coming 3rd." And his comments riled up a host of former Olympians and sports stars, with one even offering to fight him.

Former professional boxer and three-time Olympian Paddy Barnes replied: "Piers, ill fight you for my Bronze medals." The Irish athlete won bronze in both Beijing in 2008 and London 2012 in the light-flyweight division.
