The TV star was pictured getting into a black cab after the romantic night out at Harry's Bar in London - which is currently in Tier 2 - without wearing a mask.
His wife Celia donned a face covering but bolshy Piers appeared to go mask-free as he got into the taxi. And explaining what happened on Monday's instalment of GMB, the ITV name apologised for the moment of forgetfulness and joked that his mishap had helped
