Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan clashed with Professor Kehinde Andrews on Tuesday's show over Winston Churchill. The discussion was surrounding the toppling of statues of famous slave traders such as that of Edward Colston in Bristol.
Kehinde said Churchill had views on eugenics which lined up with those of Hitler, and said he was a white supremacist. Piers argued back that Churchill saved the country from the "worst racist person there has ever been", Hitler, and said it was offensive to compare them in that way. "I think Churchill did some good certainly, but let's be honest, Churchill was responsible for the deaths of millions of black and brown people.
