F1, FIA and the Japanese Grand Prix organisers following an incident which brought back harrowing memories of one of the darkest days in the sport’s history.This morning’s race at Suzuka got underway amid dreadful conditions.
After a host of incidents on the first lap, including a race-ending crash for Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz, the safety car was brought out before the race was quickly red flagged as conditions worsened.However, before the red flag came out, it appears a recovery tractor had been allowed onto the track to retrieve Sainz’s vehicle.

The Frenchman schemed over team radio “I could have f***ing killed myself.”The incident brought memories of the accident which claimed the life of Jules Bianchi at the same race in similar conditions in 2014.
