It is said that Cooper will play a child star trying to navigate both high school and Hollywood. Anderson notably collaborated with Philip Seymour Hoffman on the films Hard Eight, Boogie Nights, Magnolia, and The Master.
The director's next film, tentatively titled Soggy Bottom, is said to be a coming-of-age tale set in San Fernando Valley. Stars confirmed to star in the film are A Star is Born star Bradley Cooper, director-actor Benny Safdie, and HAIM band member Alana Haim.
