Sky Sports pundit and former Wigan player Phil Clarke believes the Warriors’ senior forwards have underperformed this season – and says the club may need to bolster their pack if they are to challenge for the 2021 Super League title.
Clarke was speaking during the coverage of Sunday’s badly-needed 16-12 home win over Huddersfield Giants, which finally eased the pressure on head coach Adrian Lam.
Wigan had lost their previous five games – their worst run in Super League since 2006 – and Clarke feels their struggles have been in part due to a lack of firepower up front.
