Nick Cave has announced an audiobook to accompany his new memoir Faith, Hope And Carnage, which he also narrates.The artist’s upcoming work is based on 40 hours of interviews between Cave and his friend, the Observer journalist Seán O’Hagan, and is released on September 20. It’s not clear if the audiobook is released on the same day – you can pre-order it in the UK here.Faith, Hope And Carnage will cover Cave’s perspective and personal life over the six years following the death of his son, Arthur, who died in July 2015 at the age of 15.

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have shared their full list of dates for a tour of their native Australia, in support of their collaborative 2021 album ‘Carnage’.News of the tour first arrived back in February, when Cave wrote about returning to Australia at the end of 2022 in a Red Hand Files letter. The following month the duo announced two dates at the remote Victorian location of Hanging Rock with Courtney Barnett.A full list of ‘Carnage’ tour dates were to follow, but the announcement was postponed following the tragic death of Cave’s son, Jethro.

Nick Cave is requesting footage from fans for an upcoming collaborative film to accompany his recent ‘Seven Psalms’ project.Released last month, the collection comprises seven spoken word cuts set to music that was created in collaboration with Warren Ellis as well as a concluding 12-minute piece, ‘Psalm Instrumental’.The record, which was produced by Cave alongside Luis Almau, came together during the sessions for Nick Cave & Warren Ellis‘ 2021 studio album ‘Carnage’.“While in lockdown I wrote a number of psalms, or small, sacred songs—one a day for a week,” Nick Cave explained in a statement.“The seven psalms are presented as one long meditation—on faith, rage, love, grief, mercy, sex and praise. His long-awaited Marilyn Monroe film starring Ana de Armas, “Blonde,” just received an NC-17 rating from the Film Ratings board, something of a first for Netflix, and should make its world premiere later this year (likely Venice, since Netflix avoids Cannes).
