Nick Cave has expressed his “great elation” over becoming a grandfather.For the most recent entry to his Red Hand Files Q&A website, the Bad Seeds frontman responded to a post from a fan who is “expecting a baby boy next week”.Marius, from Lockport, New York, added: “All the tests are normal but I seem to swing from terror to euphoria and back again by the minute. Mostly terror! […] No real question, I just wanted to let you know.”Replying to the message, Cave revealed how he had “considered” the post while enjoying “a dazzling sun-filled day” in Melbourne, Australia.“As I drank my coffee and ate my sandwich, I thought of my son, Luke, and his wife, Sasha, who had welcomed their own baby boy into the world last night, and I experienced a wave of great elation,” he wrote.“A breeze rippled across the lawn, the birds cawed, the sun shone high in the sky, and the great gum trees seemed to burst from the ground – all for my own momentary enjoyment, for a new grandfather, sitting on a park bench, on this most happy day.

Nick Cave has announced a European solo live tour for this summer – you can find all the details below.The Bad Seeds frontman is due to hit the road in June for a run of headline dates, where he’ll be “performing songs from his extensive catalogue”. Cave will be accompanied on stage by Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood.He’ll begin the forthcoming stint with three shows at the Onassis Stegi venue in Athens, Greece on June 1, 2 and 3 before an appearance at the Belgrade River Fest in Serbia on June 18.Two further performances are scheduled for Musiikkitalo in Helsinki, Finland (June 25) and the Harpa concert hall in Reykjavík, Iceland (July 1).Tickets go on sale at 10am local time this Friday (April 12) – you’ll be able to buy yours here.

Klotz worked on “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” “House of the Dragon” and “Stranger Things.” His biggest challenge was tackling the insertion of Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” in “Stranger Things.” With Netflix’s “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” the dark and twisted story of the serial killer, veteran gloom-rocker Nick Cave and his frequent collaborator Warren Ellis worked on the score. Klotz took a different approach since the duo had scored the pilot and wrote an entire library of music.

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have announced details of a new live album, created from their three performances at the Sydney Opera House last year.Titled ‘Australian Carnage’, the collection features audio taken from the pair’s performances in the Australian city, held as part of their 16-stop tour in the country at the end of 2022. The tour celebrated the release of the 2021 lockdown album, ‘Carnage’, which saw Cave and longtime Bad Seeds member Ellis come together for a new introspective side project.The live album will be released in two different formats: an 18-track digital version, which will be released this Friday (August 25), and an eight-track vinyl edition, which will arrive on December 1 via Goliath – pre-order here.To celebrate the announcement, Cave and Ellis have also shared the live version of ‘Balcony Man’, taken from the forthcoming album.
