Celebrity Traitors ‘sign up BBC star and brother’ after Andy Murray’s rejection

Following the success of mother-son duo Ross and Diane in the second series of The Traitors, it looks like the producers of the hit show known for its deceit and treachery are looking for another family for the celebrity version of the series. Celebrity Traitors is expected to film in early 2025, and BBC bosses are currently recruiting famous names for the show, with Daisy May Cooper and her brother Charlie reported to have been approached.

BAFTAs host Richard Ayoade joked that he only did the hosting job for "money" as he opened the show.The IT Crowd star, 44, spoke today (Sunday, May 8) as he took to the stage to kick off proceedings with a funny speech.Richard also joked that he "doesn't care" who won any of the night's awards and also said that "stars don't trust me".The ceremony marked a return to a full glitz and glamour in-person event, after the awards were disrupted for two years by the pandemic.Comedian, presenter and Richard hosted the event, which celebrated the depth of talent across Britain's TV industry, for the third consecutive year.However, he also joked that this would be his last time hosting the show.Presenters at the star-studded ceremony included Michelle Keegan, Sex Education's Aimee Lou Wood, Giovanni Pernice, Lee Mack, Lorraine Kelly, Martin Freeman, Rochelle Humes, Rose Ayling-Ellis, Suranne Jones, Susanna Reid, Tom Daley and Oscar-winning actress Olivia Coleman.Mocking the back-slapping nature of awards ceremonies, Richard cheekily added: "Nobody works harder than stars.
