Tom Daley has admitted open water ‘freaks him out’ after completing a challenge for Comic Relief.The Olympic diver, 27, successfully completed an incredible challenge for Comic Relief where he was seen swimming, running, cycling and rowing across four days and raised over a million pounds in donations for the charity.
However, the athlete made a surprising confession when quizzed by host Alesha Dixon and Paddy McGuinness about his time completing the challenge.
Tom is best known for his achievements as a diver, but revealed on the Comic Relief show on Friday evening that he’s actually scared of open water.
Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter After showing a clip of Tom completing the challenge, presenter Paddy asked him: “So I’ve got to ask, have you fully recovered?” Tom replied that he “literally could not walk for about two weeks” and that his husband Dustin Lance Black, an American screenwriter, had to carry him “out of bed in the night to have a wee” after completing the gruelling four day challenge.
