Hulu has unveiled the trailer for Reboot, a new comedy from Steve Levitan (Modern Family) that follows TV executives as they reboot an old comedy from the aughts called Step Right Up.

Knoxville will play Clay Barber, a dark and filthy standup comedian who’s only real acting job was on the same bright and sunny sitcom. Greer stars as Bree Marie Larson, a small-town pageant girl who always dreamed of being an actress and a princess and both somehow came true. In addition, Rachel Bloom stars as the sitcom writer with a fresh take, Hannah; Calum Worthy plays Zack, the hyphenate movie star/hip-hop artist; and Krista Marie Yu plays a tech exec turned television creative exec, Elaine.

In the teaser for Reboot — Steve Levitan’s upcoming show-within-a-show comedy for Hulu — a writer character played by Paul Reiser is surprised to see how many persons of color populate the writers room for a rebooted sitcom. Among other things he questions is whether there are any “Eskimos” on staff.

Emmy nominee Paul Reiser has officially joined the cast of Amazon’s The Boys as a guest star in the fan-favorite role of The Legend, following rumors of his participation in the series that went unconfirmed. Reiser will make his series debut in this week’s episode titled “The Last Time To Look On This World Of Lies” which drops on Friday.
