Iron Maiden has announced a new drummer after the recent departure of their long-serving member Nicko McBrain.The percussionist joined the legendary metal band in 1982, replacing Clive Burr, and has played on all of their albums since 1983’s ‘Piece Of Mind’. He did, however, suffer a minor stroke, or transient ischaemic attack, in January 2023 which left him partially paralysed on his right side from the shoulder down.As their ‘The Future Past’ world tour draws to a close, McBrain confirmed that yesterday’s (December 7) show in Sao Paulo was his last with the band – his decision being that of taking “a step back from the grind of the extensive touring lifestyle”.Now, the heavy metal band have revealed the newest addition to their line-up: Simon Dawson, who plays in British Lion, the hard rock project of Iron Maiden founder Steve Harris.Dawson first joined the band as it solidified during the making of Harris’ 2012 solo album also titled ‘British Lion’.

BMF is coming back for a fourth season!

Iron Maiden is releasing a new visual book titled Infinite Dreams, chronicling the band’s 50-year career.Expected to land in autumn 2025, the hardback book will be packed with images of iconic album and single artworks, the band’s instruments past and present, stage props, hand-written lyrics and archival artefacts. There will also be photographs taken of the band, including some that were previously unseen.The upcoming Iron Maiden book will contain a foreword by bassist Steve Harris and an afterword by frontman Bruce Dickinson.“I’ve been pleasantly surprised at some of the stuff that I’ve managed to unearth for this book,” said Harris, according to Kerrang!.

Season 3 of the series will debut on March 1 at midnight on the Starz app before its linear network premiere at 8 p.m.ET/PT in the U.S.

Mo'Nique is heading back to the small screen! On Tuesday, STARZ announced that the Academy Award-winning actress will join the second season of the network's hit drama  in a recurring role. Inspired by a true story, the series follows two brothers who rise from the decaying streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980s and give birth to one of the most influential crime families in the country. Mo’Nique will play Goldie, described as a sophisticated Atlanta strip club owner with swagger and street smarts. According to a press release, Goldie allies with the Flenory brothers, helping fuel their migration from Detroit to Atlanta.
