The film takes place after the soccer team’s infamous 31-0 FIFA loss in 2001. Searchlight Pictures has pushed back the release date for the Taika Waititi-helmed Next Goal Wins, the soccer comedy starring Michael Fassbender, which the Oscar winner wrote with Iain Morris.
