Mumford & Sons have returned to music after five years with their new track ‘Good People’ featuring Pharrell.Produced by Pharrell, the song features a thumping beat with chanting and choir-like backing vocals. Frontman Marcus Mumford sings: “Good people / been down / for so long / and now / it’s like / the sun is rising” describing the joy, hope and energy within room.Pharrell also provides backing vocals on the track alongside the Native Vocalists, a 6-piece dynamic vocal choir from the USA and Canada, hailing from their respective Native American Tribes within the Northern Great Plains.Mumford & Sons and Pharrell’s friendship spans over a decade and have always discussed the possibility of teaming up to work on music.

Kid Cudi has confirmed the tracklist for his forthcoming album ‘Insano’.The album is set to be released on Friday (January 12) and the rapper has now revealed that the 21-track LP features collaborations with ASAP Rocky, Travis Scott and Pharrell Williams, the latter two of whom appear on the previously released single ‘At The Party’.Also appearing on the album are Lil Yachty, Lil Wayne, Young Thug and a posthumous guest feature from XXXTentacion.Cudi also recently hinted that he was “nearing the end” of his music career, promising one final album of “all new music” before retiring. “Im doin 1 more album and then im done w my deal and not sure what ima do after that but yea, 1 more,” he wrote.

Sky Arts have revealed the UK’s favourite guitar riff in a brand new three part documentary series, titled, Greatest Guitar Riffs, which aired on November 24.A poll of 2000 music fans votes was carried out to find out the nation’s favourite riff, and included in the top 40 were Sam Fender’s ‘Seventeen Going Under’, Arctic Moneys’ ‘Do I Wanna Know’ and Pharrell William’s ‘Happy’.But the top choice was revealed as ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ by Guns N’ Roses. Pharrell Williams has recounted his experiences working with legendary French duo Daft Punk on their 2013 album ‘Random Access Memories’ – see what he had to say below.In a newly released episode of Daft Punk’s ‘Memory Tapes’ video series to celebrate the 10th anniversary of ‘Random Access Memories’, Pharrell spoke about how he first got the opportunity to work with Daft Punk, and how he came to collaborate with them on two songs on the 2013 album.Pharrell recalled The Neptunes meeting Busy P, who offered them the chance to remix Daft Punk’s ‘Harder Better Faster Stronger’ in 2001. He also noted that if it weren’t for The Neptunes’ remix of ‘Harder Better Faster Stronger’, he “never would have had that connection’ with the duo to later work on ‘Random Access Memories’.Speaking on ‘Random Access Memories’, Pharrell said that he initially thought he was just going to be a songwriter on ‘Get Lucky’ and ‘Lose Yourself To Dance’, not realising that the vocals he had recorded for the tracks would end up being the final version instead of a demo intended for someone else to refer to.“I didn’t know who was gonna end up singing it.

Pharrell Williams has revealed that he built a recording studio at Louis Vuitton’s Paris headquarters so he can move between making clothes and producing music with ease.Williams was appointed the creative director of the French luxury fashion house back in February. Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri was feted at the Annecy International Film Festival Wednesday morning with a “Golden Ticket” lifetime accreditation in a surprise session featuring Grammy-winning musician and Louis Vuitton designer Pharrell Williams.

Pharrell’s Something In The Water festival had its third day cancelled on Sunday (April 30) due to bad weather conditions.The festival held its 2023 edition in Virginia Beach this past weekend, with headline sets from Mumford & Sons among others.After the first two days of the event were delayed due to rain, Sunday’s proceedings – which were set to include Grace Jones, Clipse, 100 Gecs and more – were then postponed.The festival announced that 33 per cent refunds of the original ticket price will be given to fans, writing online: “We are disappointed to share that under the advisement of the city of Virginia Beach and the local authorities we have to cancel day three of SOMETHING IN THE WATER due to significant impacts to the festival site caused by severe weather, as well as the current and forecasted storms approaching and tornado warning.“We did not make this decision easily but everyone’s safety is our top priority.”A post shared by SOMETHING IN THE WATER (@somethinginthewater)In his own statement, Pharrell promised that dates will shift for the 2024 edition to avoid a repeat scenario.He wrote: “Dearest Virginia, we are the best. Aminé and Kaytranada have officially debuted their collaborative project Kaytraminé, joining forces with Pharrell Williams for a slinky and colourful track titled ‘4EVA’.The project was first teased earlier this week, but has been in the works for nearly a decade; the pair first linked up in 2014 after Aminé released a bootleg remix of Kaytranada’s song ‘Not At All’. The latter DJ then offered to make Aminé some of his own beats, leading to the pair collaborating on three songs for Aminé’s 2015 mixtape ‘Calling Brio’.A music video for ‘4EVA’, directed by Jack Begert, is slated to drop in the coming hours.
