Loose Women star Janet Street-Porter has made a savage dig at the UK's Eurovision Song Contest entrant Mae Muller, who sadly came second to last after a nail-biting vote on Saturday 13 May. The 76 year old panellist and former journalist weighed in on the UK's low position in the song contest, following Sam Ryder's rare second place in 2022, and she didn't hold back.The competition, which was held in the UK for the first time in 25 years, ended up giving the trophy to Loreen of Sweden and her powerhouse ballad Tattoo, who had won once before. Finland came second, Noa Kirel of Israel then came in third, and Italy was fourth.

The grand final of the Eurovision song contest hit our screens last night, broadcasting live from Liverpool to millions all over the world.

K.J. Yossman Sweden has won the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. Swedish contestant Loreen came first with her song “Tattoo,” beating out 25 other countries to garner 583 points. Her win means the contest will likely be held in Sweden next year. Traditionally the winning country hosts the following year’s contest. Sweden was followed by Finland’s Käärijä with 526 points and Israel’s Noa Kirel with 362 points, who took second and third place respectively. This year’s Eurovision took place in Liverpool, U.K. on behalf of last year’s winner Ukraine after it was deemed too dangerous to hold Eurovision in the country following the Russian invasion. Ukrainian entry Kalush Orchestra won last year’s contest followed by the U.K.’s Sam Ryder in close second.

Young Noa Kirel is representing her country Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with her upbeat song Unicorn, which she co-wrote and co-composed. The 22-year-old singer-songwriter wowed at the first Eurovision semi-finals on May 9 and successfully advanced to the grand final which will be taking place on Saturday 13 May.

Balvin. “Dear Friends – this was not an easy decision, however the duo known as Static and Ben El has decided to part ways,” the pair posted on Aug. 25 in a joint statement on their social media account.  “We also wanted to thank you for being so supportive and for helping us to live our dreams,” they continued. “Of course — the shows already scheduled will still take place. We love you very much, see you in our new incarnation.”
