Actor Danny Dyer has exclusively revealed that his son Arty will star alongside him in the upcoming comedy film, praising his son’s performance in the new project as 'brilliant'.

Blur‘s Graham Coxon has reflected on the “flipping bizarre” moment Robbie Williams and Danny Dyer covered ‘Parklife’ last year.Back in July, the Marching Power actor teamed up with Williams for the surprise collaboration at his headline set at BST Hyde Park, with Dyer performing the Cockney spoken-word parts, as originally done by Quadrophenia actor Phil Daniels.The Eastenders actor later explained he was approached by Williams to perform the Blur classic during a recent Soccer Aid event. “I said yes,” he remembered at the time, “and then I thought, ‘Oh, now I’ve got to do it.’“I love the tune,” he added. “I love Robbie and we done it.

The sci-fi thriller from director Bong Joon Ho, starring Robert Pattinson, made a solid debut, though it faced strong competition from holdover hit “Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.” Universal’s “Bridget Jones” sequel continued its remarkable run, landing in second place with $2.6 million in its fourth weekend.

Danny Dyer reunites with director Nick Love in comedy drama Marching Powder.The pair previously worked together on 2004’s Football Factory, along with crime film The Business, Goodbye Charlie Bright, and 2007’s Outlaw.Marching Powder covers familiar ground for the duo, with a mix of football hooliganism, drugs, and unhinged blasts of humour.A synopsis reads: “Middle-aged Jack, arrested for drugs, strives in six weeks to repair marriage, curb bullying in-law, and guide stepbrother Kenny Boy, but his efforts fail as life spirals out of control.”Other cast members in the film include Stephanie Leonidas, Calum McNab, Philippe Brenninkmeyer, Daniel Fearn and Dean Harrison.The film’s score is by Alfie Godfrey, who previously collaborated with Nick Love on TV series A Town Called Malice. He also scored the documentary series Horsepower.The film features a wealth of needle drops from the likes of Madness and Robbie Williams.

Veteran actor and musician Ashley Walters (Top Boy) has started production on Animol, his debut feature as a director.

Marta Balaga Sky Studios has confirmed its commitment to premium content at MIA Market in Rome. “When we say premium, we talk about mature, provocative, sophisticated storytelling,” said Meghan Lyvers, director of original drama at Sky Studios U.K. Noting the company’s interest in prestige, high-end limited series (“‘Chernobyl’ was an incredible example of that”), “blockbuster” event series, but also ones that can potentially return. An adaptation of Heather Morris’ novel “The Tattooist of Auschwitz” is in the works, which will see Sky partnering up with Peacock. TNT has acquired “The Lazarus Project,” while crime series “A Town Called Malice,” created by Nick Love and launching next spring, will be a “love letter” to the 1980s.

Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Pascal Breton’s European banner Federation Entertainment (“The Bureau”) has acquired a majority stake in Vertigo Films, the U.K. production company behind the hit TV shows “Britannia” and “Bulletproof.” The London-based company is also the producer of B.O. films such as “StreetDance 3D,” “The Sweeney” and award-winning titles including Gareth Edwards’s “Monsters” and Nicolas Winding Refn’s “Bronson.“ Founded 20 years ago by executive producers Allan Niblo and James Richardson, Vertigo is currently in post-production with Jez Butterworth’s new comedy-drama series “Mammals,” starring James Corden and Sally Hawkins for Amazon, and the 1980s-set gangster epic “A Town Called Malice” by Nick Love for Sky Max. The banner just wrapped principal photography on a new film for Sky Cinema, with further details to be announced at a later date.
