EXCLUSIVE: UK sales and distribution company Blue Finch Films has acquired world sales rights summer camp horror She Came From The Woods, ahead of its world premiere in the genre-focused FrightFest in London in August.

Janet Jackson has extended her residency in Las Vegas.The ‘Rhythm Nation’ singer announced that she will be delivering a career-spanning show at Resorts World Las Vegas last August.The residency kicked off on December 30, 2024 with the shows continuing on January 3 and 4, followed by a month-long pause before resuming on February 5-15.Now, the residency has been expanded with a further six dates on May 21, 24, 25, 28, 30 and 31.

Naman Ramachandran U.K. outfit Blue Finch Films has snagged worldwide sales rights (excluding Australia and New Zealand) to the buzzy animated feature “Lesbian Space Princess,” ahead of its world premiere in the Panorama section at next month’s Berlin Film Festival.

Naman Ramachandran Writer-director Rod Blackhurst has wrapped production in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on horror film “Dolly.” Blackhurst is the Emmy and Critics Choice nominated director and producer of Netflix original documentary “Amanda Knox” and the Tribeca Festival audience award-winning “Here Alone.” “Dolly” follows his acclaimed crime-thriller “Blood for Dust,” which premiered at Tribeca and won the narrative competition award at San Diego. “Dolly,” described by the filmmakers as a blend of New French Extremity and 1970s American horror, follows Macy, a young woman abducted by a deranged, monster-like figure who wants to raise her as their child. The cast includes Fabianne Therese (“John Dies at the End”), Seann William Scott (“American Pie”), Ethan Suplee (“Babylon”), Russ Tiller (“Blood for Dust”) and Michalina Scorzelli (“Shoplifters of the World”).

EXCLUSIVE: Hollywood Trailblazer: The Debra Hill Story, a feature documentary about Debra Hill, the late producer and co-writer of classic movies such as Halloween (1978) and The Fog (1980), has moved into production with Causeway Pictures. 

Leo Barraclough International Features Editor International sales agency the Playmaker has signed a deal with Blue Finch Film Releasing to distribute the one-shot horror film “Home Sweet Home — Where Evil Lives” in the U.K. and Ireland. Thomas Sieben’s film, which made its world premiere in August at FrightFest in London, has its market premiere at AFM.

Blondie have shared a previously unheard demo version of ‘Go Through It’, formerly known as ‘I Love You Honey, Give Me A Beer’.The demo, which features on the band’s upcoming box set ‘Against the Odds: 1974 – 1982‘, hears frontperson Debbie Harry singing different lyrics to the version (‘Go Through It’) that was released on the band’s fifth album ‘Autoamerican’ (1980).‘Go Through It’ also features mariachi horns, unlike the demo, and as Rolling Stone notes, ‘I Love You Honey…’ was possibly written to be included on the soundtrack for the 1980 movie Roadie.‘Blondie: Against the Odds: 1974 – 1982’ arrives on August 26 via UMC and The Numero Group (pre-order here), and boasts 124 tracks – 36 of which were previously unreleased – alongside remasters of original analog tapes that were cut to vinyl at London’s famous Abbey Road Studios.The Super Deluxe Collectors’ Edition contains Blondie’s first six albums – ‘Blondie’ (1976), ‘Plastic Letters’ (1977), ‘Parallel Lines’ (1978), ‘Eat To The Beat’ (1979), ‘Autoamerican’ (1980) and ‘The Hunter’ (1982) – as well as bonus tracks including a previously unheard recording of ‘Moonlight Drive’.
