Originally starring Michael Douglas, Glenn Close and Anne Archer, the three main roles are taken over by Joshua Jackson, Lizzy Caplan and Amanda Peet. As seen in the trailer, Jackson plays Dan Gallagher, a man whose life and marriage to Beth (Peet) is upended by an affair he has with Alex Forrest (Caplan), as the series applies a modern lens to the themes of privilege, mental disorders, family dynamics and murder. Told over two timelines, the series follows Daniel in the present as he tries to reconnect with his family and prove his innocence after serving 15 years in prison for the murder of Alex.

Basic Instinct earned $13 million more than her after being cast in the now iconic film.The actor, who has also starred in blockbusters like Total Recall and Casino, had an early hit with the erotic thriller. Despite landing such a commanding and iconic leading role, Stone says her pay packet for the film lagged behind that of co-star Douglas.As per UniLad, Stone divulged the information at the New York Women In Film & Television’s 43rd annual Muse Awards lunch yesterday (March 28).

When the judge asked my child, my tiny little boy: ‘Do you know your mother makes sex movies?’ Like, this kind of abuse by the system – that I was considered what kind of parent I was, because I made that movie.”In a famous scene from the film, Stone’s character uncrosses her legs during a police interrogation and shows she isn’t wearing any underwear.“People are walking around with no clothes on at all on regular TV now and you saw maybe like a 16th of a second of possible nudity of me – and I lost custody of a child,” she added.
