Isle Of Wight Festival has confirmed more acts for its 2025 line-up, including Razorlight, English Teacher, Yard Act and more.The annual event is due to take place from June 19 to 22 at Seaclose Park, and back in September it was confirmed that Justin Timberlake, Sting and Stereophonics would be joining as headliners.A new batch of acts have now been added to the line-up. A Complete Unknown tells the rock icon’s story from his sudden breakout in the early 1960s until his controversial 1965 performance at Newport Folk Festival – when he performed live with electric instruments for the first time.During the film, we meet an array of pivotal figures in Dylan’s life – from the folk-poet Pete Seeger (played by acclaimed actor Edward Norton) to influential singer and one-time romantic interest Joan Baez (Monica Barbaro).

Caity Baser has been announced as a keynote interviewee at War Child’s upcoming ‘Women In Music’ day on October 9.The event comes as part of the charity’s ‘Day Of The Girl’ campaign with YouTube Music, which seeks to highlight the key issues affecting women in music. The former NME cover star will feature in the ‘Women in Music and Creative Industries Panel Day’ at Google Digital Studios, Pancras Square, London on October 9.Taking place around the UN’s International Day of the Girl Child, the event also highlights War Child’s work protecting, educating, and advocating for the rights of girls and women living in war zones.Elsewhere, as part of the campaign, Bree Runway, RØRY, Matilda Mann and Connie Constance will play intimate shows around London between October 8-12.Bree Runway and RØRY will kick off the series of shows on October 8, with the former playing Lafayette and the latter performing at 100 Club.

Bombay Bicycle Club have announced their latest EP ‘Fantasies’ and have shared its lead single ‘Fantasneeze’.The four-track EP features collaborations with Lucy Rose, Rae Morris, Liz Lawrence and Matilda Mann. It is set for release digitally on February 23, while the physical release of the EP will be limited to 2500 10” vinyl which will be made available at upcoming gigs, select independent record stores or the band’s official webstore.

Thania Garcia Wet Leg’s Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers took home the Ivor Novello award in the coveted songwriter of the year category at the 2023 ceremony on Thursday in London’s Grosvenor House. The event honored 30 music-makers across 14 categories in recognition of songwriting and screen composition. Wet Leg’s self-titled debut album was one of the most-talked-about releases of the last year and earned the indie rockers their first Brit awards and a pair of Grammys. The Ivor judges described Teasdale and Chambers’ writing, citing singles “Wet Dream” and “Chaise Lounge,” as “fresh, unapologetic and direct, with surprising melodies that demand attention.”

Glastonbury has announced the 90 acts on their longlist for this year’s Emerging Talent Competition.The annual contest sees rising talent submitting their music in the hopes of winning a slot on one of the Worthy Farm festival’s main stages.Supported by PRS For Music and the PRS Foundation, the 2022 Emerging Talent Competition longlist has been selected by a panel of 30 music writers, with that group now set to be whittled down to a shortlist of eight by judges including members of the Glastonbury team.The winners will then be decided at a forthcoming live event in Pilton, the Somerset town where the festival is based. They’ll be awarded a £5,000 PRS for Music Foundation Talent Development prize, with two runners-up also receiving a £2,500 PRS for Music Foundation Talent Development prize.All of the 90 acts who are part of this year’s Emerging Talent Competition have been compiled into a single playlist, which you can listen to below.The last Emerging Talent Competition took place in 2020, with R.A.E being announced as the winner.
