Bombay Bicycle Club have announced their latest EP ‘Fantasies’ and have shared its lead single ‘Fantasneeze’.The four-track EP features collaborations with Lucy Rose, Rae Morris, Liz Lawrence and Matilda Mann. It is set for release digitally on February 23, while the physical release of the EP will be limited to 2500 10” vinyl which will be made available at upcoming gigs, select independent record stores or the band’s official webstore.

Reading & Leeds festivals have added 27 new names to their line-up for 2023, with all set to perform on the BBC Introducing stage.The twin festivals return to Richfield Avenue and Bramham Park from August 25-27, with Foals, Billie Eilish, The Killers, Sam Fender and Imagine Dragons all set to headline.Names for the BBC Introducing stage at both sites have now been revealed, and include Matilda Mann, HotWax, Pixey, The Goa Express, Antony Szmierek and more.Elsewhere, Leeds have also announced the DJ line-up for their Anachronica stage.

Thania Garcia Wet Leg’s Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers took home the Ivor Novello award in the coveted songwriter of the year category at the 2023 ceremony on Thursday in London’s Grosvenor House. The event honored 30 music-makers across 14 categories in recognition of songwriting and screen composition. Wet Leg’s self-titled debut album was one of the most-talked-about releases of the last year and earned the indie rockers their first Brit awards and a pair of Grammys. Glastonbury has announced the 90 acts on their longlist for this year’s Emerging Talent Competition.The annual contest sees rising talent submitting their music in the hopes of winning a slot on one of the Worthy Farm festival’s main stages.Supported by PRS For Music and the PRS Foundation, the 2022 Emerging Talent Competition longlist has been selected by a panel of 30 music writers, with that group now set to be whittled down to a shortlist of eight by judges including members of the Glastonbury team.The winners will then be decided at a forthcoming live event in Pilton, the Somerset town where the festival is based. They’ll be awarded a £5,000 PRS for Music Foundation Talent Development prize, with two runners-up also receiving a £2,500 PRS for Music Foundation Talent Development prize.All of the 90 acts who are part of this year’s Emerging Talent Competition have been compiled into a single playlist, which you can listen to below.The last Emerging Talent Competition took place in 2020, with R.A.E being announced as the winner.

Music media company DIY and independent music distributor The state51 Conspiracy have announced a tie-up to stage a series of livestreamed shows featuring new artists, under the title Hello 2021. Acts on the bill include Yard Act, Oscar Lang, Sinead O’Brien and Matilda Mann.The online performances will replace DIY’s usual January shows at the Old Blue Last in London and will be broadcast every Tuesday at 7pm throughout that month on state51’s YouTube channel.

Glastonbury have announced R.A.E as the winner of this year’s Emerging Talent Competition.The annual contest offers rising acts the chance to win a slot on one of the festival’s main stages as well as a £5000 Talent Development prize from the PRS Foundation.Despite the 2020 event being cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak, Glasto organisers decided to go ahead with the competition as planned.Over the course of this evening (June 17), the top three acts from the previously-announced eight finalists were unveiled on the official Glastonbury Twitter account.
