A Mexican citizen has been sentenced to nine years in prison following a record-breaking drug seizure of more than 17,500 pounds of methamphetamine and another 388 pounds of fentanyl from a truck trying to enter the United States, federal prosecutors said Friday.  Carlos Martin Quintana-Arias admitted to driving the tractor-trailer on Nov. 18, 2021, through the Otay Mesa Port of Entry in San Diego, California, the Justice Department said.  The Otay Mesa, California, Commercial Port of Entry is one of three ports of entry in the San Diego-Tijuana metropolitan region in California. A homeless woman who allegedly robbed a dead man in New York City and has dozens of prior arrests was freed without bail Friday, according to reports.  Geniece Draper, 40, was let go after her arraignment in a Manhattan courtroom, the New York Post reported. She is accused of pickpocketing a wallet from a man last week as he remained under a truck that had crushed him moments earlier.  She is charged with grand and petty larceny for allegedly stealing from 62-year-old Jerome Smith. She was arrested a short time later at a Times Square subway station.

Two robbery suspects were shot and killed by a jewelry store owner during a robbery attempt inside a Florida shopping mall, and two other suspects are being sought, police said.  The robbery occurred at the Magic Mall in Orlando when four suspects robbed a jewelry booth with at least one of them armed, the Orlando Police Department told Fox News. "The store owner shot at the suspects," police said in a statement.

Texas authorities nabbed 15 illegal immigrants during a recent attempt to smuggle them into the United States as they bailed out of the vehicle and tried to flee. Dashcam and bodycam footage released by the Texas Department of Public Safety shows an Oct. 7 vehicle chase in Kingsville between the alleged smuggler in a work truck and DPS troopers.

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested in the beating death of a Los Angeles liquor store clerk and authorities seeking three other suspects.  Steven Reyes, 68, was killed on Oct. 6 following a robbery outside Tony’s Market in the Highland Park neighborhood.

Border officers in Texas found more than $402,000 worth of liquid methamphetamine held in condoms that were hidden inside pumpkins during a vehicle inspection, authorities said.  The seizure was discovered Tuesday at the Eagle Pass Port of Entry and was among Halloween decorations inside a vehicle, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) said.  Border officers in Texas said they seized discovered 44 pounds of liquid methamphetamine in condoms hidden inside pumpkins.

An arrest has been made following the release of security footage showing a man forcefully walking a teenage girl before she was sexually assaulted in a Los Angeles bathroom, police said Wednesday.  The Los Angeles Police Department told Fox News an arrest has been made but could not confirm if the suspect seen on camera was the person in police custody. The incident occurred Tuesday at a park in the El Sereno neighborhood.  A suspect is seen with a teen girl in Los Angeles moments before she was sexually assaulted.

The body of a California woman missing for two months was found Monday inside a crashed car at the bottom of a cliff, authorities said.  Jolissa Fuentes, 22, was last seen on Aug. 7 driving alone.

Colorado authorities on Monday said they have found a 14-year-old girl who was last seen 10 days ago. Chloe Campbell was found at a residence, Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold told reporters during a new briefing.  The teenager was last seen around 6 p.m. on Sept.

The suspect accused of killing two people and injuring six others during a stabbing rampage on the Las Vegas Strip is in the United States illegally, sources told Fox News.  Yoni Barrios, 32, is a Guatemalan national in the U.S. illegally with a criminal record in California, a source with U.S.

The New York City Police Department on Friday identified four suspects who were allegedly part of a group of people wearing neon-green bodysuits on a Manhattan subway train who attacked two teenagers.  The NYPD released images of the suspects during a news briefing. Chief of Detectives James Essig said the attack stemmed from an incident on a subway platform that began with an accidental bump.  The suspects were identified as Ciante Alston, Mairam Cisse Issouf, Dariana Peguero, all 26, and 34-year-old Emily Soto as being among the group captured on camera punching and tossing around two 19-year-old women in the Times Square subway station early Sunday.  New York City police released images of four woman who were allegedly part of a group of suspects wearing neon-green bodysuits while attacking two women on a subway train.  (Fox New York ) The other suspects have not been identified.The victims were robbed of a cell phone and handbag.  All four live in the Queensbridge Houses, a public housing development in Queens, Essig said.They all have criminal histories, he said.  Pequero has nine arrests, authorities said, the most in the group.  The mother of one victim told the New York Post that what happened on the train was "absolutely disgusting" and that the gang in green needs to be held accountable.

A man was shot in the head late Wednesday night at a Philadelphia recreation center and is fighting for his life.  Police officers responded to the Stenton Park Recreation Center around 9:30 p.m. and found a gunshot victim with a wound to the back of the head, Fox Philadelphia reported.

The body of a woman was found Thursday inside a clothing donation box near Los Angeles, authorities said.  The unidentified woman climbed into the box in Santa Clarita and was reported around 10 a.m. near the intersection of Orchard Village Road and Lyons Avenue., the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said, Fox Los Angeles reported.

Two people were fatally stabbed, and six others were injured Thursday on the Las Vegas Strip and a suspect was in custody, police said.  The rampage began just before 11:45 a.m. when the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received reports of multiple victims on South Las Vegas Boulevard near the Wynn Las Vegas hotel.  Authorities said three of the surviving victims were in critical condition.

President Biden will pardon all prior federal offenses of simple marijuana possession, the White House said Thursday. The move applies to those convicted of simple possession of marijuana, including those in the District of Columbia, according to senior officials.  "As I’ve said before, no one should be in jail just for using or possessing marijuana," Biden tweeted Thursday.
