Limp Bizkit fans during the nu metal band’s show at Dublin’s 3Arena last night (March 11).In the run-up to the show, the mixed martial artist said in an Instagram post he would “be bang in the centre of the Moshpit if anyone’s looking for their jaw broke and their teeth sent.”However, though frontman Fred Durst joked that they could “have a go at a slow dance” at the show, McGregor’s presence at the 3Arena wasn’t welcomed by the band’s fans.“It sounds like you’re in love with Conor McGregor here…” the vocalist said, which was met with a loud chorus of boos. “I’ll be straight with you,” continued Durst, “from what I’ve heard, he’s actually out there right now…”Footage of McGregor being booed circulated widely online, but fans there said that the footage didn’t do justice to just how loud the crowd’s disapproval of McGregor was.“The boos were very loud in the arena,” one fan on Reddit said.

The Police‘s Stewart Copeland has nailed the drum parts to a Limp Bizkit classic after hearing the track for the first time – check it out below.Copeland – drummer for The Police – joined drum YouTube channel Drumeo for their “First Time” series, in which famous drummers are challenged to play drums for a popular song after hearing the track for the first time.Typically, these drummers take a couple of tries before locking in their final take – some draft up drum charts, some jam until they get it right and some record vocal cues. However, Copeland did none of the above. Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst has pointed out that fans frequently misunderstand the lyrics to the band’s 1999 hit ‘Nookie’.Despite the song’s chorus, where Durst raps that he “did it all for the nookie”, people frequently overlook that the song is concerned less with sex than it is with love despite its title.In a new interview with Dazed, Durst was asked: “In 1999, you’re doing it all for the nookie. What are you doing it all for in 2025?” prompting him to explain his frustrations with how the song gets misinterpreted.“The funny thing about that though, nobody listened to the story in ‘Nookie’ — they just listened to the catchphrase,” Durst said.

Universal Music Group (UMG) have reportedly filed a motion to dismiss Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst’s $200million lawsuit against them for “fraudulent accounting practices”.In October, Durst filed a lawsuit against UMG for $200million on the count of fraud, alleging that the music label and publishing company had withheld the band’s royalties for years before they made an inquiry on it and only got paid “recently”.According to the Limp Bizkit vocalist, the group “never received any royalties from UMG”, until this August – despite having sold millions of albums and still earning “millions of streaming users per month on Spotify alone” for years. The lawsuit also alleged that UMG had intended to “unfairly keep those profits for itself”.At the time, UMG responded by claiming that Limp Bizkit had been paid $43million in recoupable advances over the years.

Limp Bizkit have confirmed that they are back in the studio working on a new album.As reported by Consequence Of Sound, the band’s frontman Fred Durst shared an update on the band’s official Instagram Stories. In the story, Durst is seen with drummer John Otto tracking drums in a studio.“Oh shit, in the studio with John Otto … we ’bout to lay it down with those drumsticks dawg,” Durst said.
