Mark Sutherland Things are looking up for Download Festival. The hard rock and metal event will celebrate its 20th anniversary edition this year with its first-ever sell-out. The fest’s promoter, Andy Copping of Live Nation, confirms that all the weekend tickets and Saturday day tickets for this year’s 90,000-capacity festival have been snapped up, with the final remaining day tickets expected to sell out in the next few days. “We’ve done some big numbers in the past,” says Copping, speaking exclusively to Variety. “But this one has been a complete other level. The festival running for 20 years and hitting that landmark sell-out figure is incredible.”

Rise Against, Hatebreed, Kids In Glass Houses and more have been announced as new names on the stacked Download 2025 line-up.The music bash will return to its home of Donington Park, Leicestershire, for its 22nd year and take place from June 13-15. Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst has collaborated with country rock singer Hardy on the latter’s ‘SOUL4SALE’, taken from new album ‘Quit!!’ released last Friday (July 12). Their show marked their first appearance at Donington Park since 2013.Now, a new photo posted by Copping has shown he’s open to considering the band returning to top the bill.

Download Festival has announced a special free-to-air TV event called Reloaded which is set to air this summer.The two-night show will feature clips from ​some of “the best Download headliner performances from the past 10 years” including Linkin Park, Metallica, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Guns N’ Roses and more.Reloaded will air on Sky Arts on June 5 – 6 (which is the weekend that should have marked Download 2021) and will be available free for all to watch.
