Scrubs co-executive producer charged with 18 counts of sexual assault

The co-executive producer of popular US comedy series Scrubs has been charged with 18 counts of sexual assault. Eric Weinberg, 62, is said to have “relied on his Hollywood credentials” to lure young women to photo shoots where he is alleged to have assaulted them, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney.The charges stem from alleged incidents involving five different women in the years between 2014 and 2019.

Lady Gaga’s dog walker has released a statement urging the man accused of shooting him to turn himself in after he was mistakenly released from jail. Ryan Fischer was shot in the chest while walking Gaga’s three French Bulldogs in Los Angeles last year, with two of them being stolen in the attack and later returned. One of the men accused of being involved in the attack, 19-year-old James Howard Jackson, was reportedly released from jail this week due to an error, with authorities confirming to Buzzfeed News that it was ‘the result of a massive mistake.’Jackson attended a hearing at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Centre, with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department records reportedly showing that he left custody the following day.According to documents, Jackson was released at 3:38pm, with the reason listed only as ‘dismissed.’Fischer said he was ‘deeply concerned’ in a statement which he shared to his Instagram story, and urged Jackson to turn himself in. He said: ‘While I’m deeply concerned at the events that led to his release, I’m confident law enforcement will rectify the error. ‘I ask for Mr. Jackson to turn himself over to the authorities, so resolution to the crime committed against me runs its course, whatever the courts determine that outcome to be.
