They’re usually thought of as the gods of metal, and few would deny that — though it’s my opinion that the DNA of classic metal owes as much to Black Sabbath’s second album, “Paranoid,” as it does to Zeppelin. Billy Joel has brought out legendary drummer Jason Bonham to perform Led Zeppelin‘s ‘Whole Lotta Love’ at his New Year’s Eve concert – watch footage of the show below.For his final show of the year, Billy Joel performed at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York on New Year’s Eve (December 31). To mark the special occasion, Joel was joined onstage by Jason Bonham – the son of legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham – to perform ‘Whole Lotta Love’.The performance came mid-way through Billy Joel’s set. Jason Bonham’s band – Jason Bonham’s Led Zepellin Evening had performed earlier in the night to open the show.“We’re going to bring a guest onstage and do this next song,” Joel said to the audience.

Heart are set to celebrate New Year’s Eve this year by reuniting for their first show since 2016.The band will play a headline gig at the Climate Pledge Arena in their hometown of Seattle, Washington on Sunday, December 31.Heart will be joined on the bill by their special guests, Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening – the group formed by original Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham’s son. Let There Be Drums!, a documentary set to premiere later this month.The film is directed by Justin Kreutzmann — the son of The Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann — and according to its synopsis, will focus on “the art of drumming [and] the musicians who’ve mastered it”. In addition Kreutzmann, Let There Be Drums! will feature interviews with a swathe of the world’s best-known drummers, including one of Taylor Hawkins’ final-ever interviews before his passing in March.Elsewhere, the documentary will feature the likes of The Beatles’ Ringo Starr, Stewart Copeland of The Police, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Tré Cool of Green Day, among many others.
