To the relief of Neighbours fans, Ryan Moloney is returning to the Australian soap as Jarrod 'Toadie' Rebecchi ahead of its upcoming Amazon Freevee reboot - and the long-time star has promised that the new series is just as dramatic as it's always been. Ryan arrived on Ramsay Street in 1995 and stuck with the soap until it was cancelled by its Aussie channel Network 10 last year.Thankfully, Amazon Freevee stepped in and announced that it would be picking up the long-running soap for its streaming site. While Ryan has kept tight-lipped about the details of his comeback, he's teased that fans are in for a shock with the upcoming storylines.

During his time on Australian soap, Neighbours, Mark Little played the iconic Joe Mangal, who had a relatively clean-cut appearance.  In contrast to his character, who had short dark hair and no facial hair, the 63 year old appeared unrecognisable in a recent TV appearance. Speaking on the BBC's cricket talk show, View from the Boundary in the UK, Mark had a considerably more rugged appearance with wavy long grey hair and a new bushy beard. After resurfacing on TV over the weekend, the Brisbane-born soap star, who now lives in Wales, was compared to the likes of Top Gear's James May, and even former UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.

A year after TV show Neighbours was axed by Channel 5, the soap’s stars have reunited as filming has commenced on the brand-new series.The rebooted Australian soap is just on the horizon as actors Ryan Maloney, Alan Fletcher, Jackie Woodburn, Rebekah Elmaloglou and Stefan Dennis will be resuming their roles on the series. Neighbours star Lucinda Cowden has also been confirmed to return to her role as Melanie Pearson. A sweet snap was posted to the Neighbours social media account which included a few members of the cast posing with a ribbon at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on set.The caption for the post read: "Lights, camera, action, let's go! Brand new #Neighbours is officially in production!" The announcement post was instantly flooded with comments from hyped-up fans who “can’t wait” to have the Australian show back on their TV screens.

Neighbours star has spoken exclusively to Express.co.uk about their offscreen relationship. Last week was met with a lot of tears for Neighbours fans as the show debuted its last ever episodes on Friday.Express.co.uk asked Alan what he will miss about the Neighbours set and he left a very heartwarming tribute for his closest colleague.Alan revealed: "Working relationships I think more than anything."I mean, besides Jackie Woodburn, of course, she’s the best, most dearest friend and we have loved working together."We have such a great onscreen and offscreen relationship."The crew and that cast were one big family, we just laughed all day and we all looked out for each other."We will stay in contact but it will never be the same."We will never see each other anywhere near as much as we used to."Alan also discussed how he feels about parting with his Doctor Karl persona."I would often shoot over to the UK and do either panto or band tours and so forth.So I've always kept myself busy."But with Neighbours finishing I will be doing the Doctor Karl tour in the UK and probably doing it again in 2023."Besides that, I will also be playing a lot of music and doing a lot of festivals."So I reckon this year is going to be pretty busy for me!"From now, Alan will be focusing his time on his Doctor Karl tour and his music career.For his new single, Alan teamed up with former Neighbours co-star Alyce Platt in their brand new duet, Sorry Is The Word.Speaking about the track, he said: "Like a lot of songs, 'Sorry Is The Word' came from my own life experience."I have learnt over time that pride and an inability to accept blame and apologise is responsible for so much heartache and missed opportunities."Alan was excited to be returning to

The finale, which has already aired in Australia, features longstanding cast member Toadfish, known to all as Toadie, played by Ryan Molony, 42, and his wedding to Melanie Pearson, played by Lucinda Cowden, 57.The Ramsay Street favourite has starred as Toadie for for 27 years and in the final episode he will at last get his happy ever after following two decades of tragic and turbulent storylines which have included his new wife Dee going missing on their honeymoon, and his second wife Sonya dying from cancer. After 37 years of Ramsey Street, Toadie and Melanie's marriage is the perfect way for the cast past and present to say goodbye as the pair wed in a ceremony presided over by another well-loved cast member, Susan Kennedy, played by Jackie Woodburn, 66.
