Wet Leg have announced a new album; the U.K. indie rock band will release moisturizer on July 11 via Domino.

Jem Aswad Executive Editor, Music Wet Leg, the British quintet founded by singer-guitarists Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers whose Grammy-winning 2021 single “Chaise Longue” was a rare generation-spanning hit, have announced their second album, “Moisturizer,” will be released on July 11th on Domino. Alongside the album announcement the band have released the first single from the album, “Catch These Fists,” which they performed at an intimate club gig in New York Monday night; the group will also play a club show in Los Angeles on April 8. The new album was produced by Dan Carey, who also helmed their 2022 debut.

Wet Leg have announced their return to music with a new post on their official Instagram account.The Isle Of Wight band – comprised of Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers – shared a photo of themselves sitting on a sofa covered in stuffed animals with a man dressed up as a goblin sitting in the middle of them.The caption of the post read: “We’re so back”. They also shared a link to the band’s website.

Harry Styles were among the stars honoured at this year's Ivor Novello Awards, however both acts failed to attend the ceremony in London on Thursday. Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, the duo behind Wet Leg, weren't at the awards to pick up their Songwriter of the Year award. Grammy award-winning artist Harry, 29, who beat out his competition in the Most Performed Work category for his song As It Was, also failed to attend the event which was hosted at Grosvenor House in person.

Just kidding!” said Hester Chambers, adding that the new album will take in “a bit of this and a bit of that, probably”.Revealing that they’ll be spending much of the next year writing the next record, singer Rhian Teasdale said that fans should expect it to be “like the last one, but longer, bigger, better, faster, stronger and more fluorescent.”The pair also spoke about the “surreal” experience of having one of their songs covered by Harry Styles, and how being covered by Pearl Jam was “very strange and funny and cool”.“It’s just strange when people know that you exist, who you wouldn’t have thought would know you exist,” Teasdale said.

Wet Leg have spoken about the “really cool” experience of seeing Harry Styles cover their single ‘Wet Dream’.The pop star recorded a live version of the song in May as part of a special Live Lounge session on BBC Radio 1. It came after Wet Leg – aka Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers – were announced as the support act for Styles’ 2023 Australian/New Zealand tour.During a new interview with Apple Music 1, Teasdale recalled first hearing the ‘Harry’s House’ star’s spin on the track when the duo were in a splitter van on the way to a live show.“We were just on our phones, doing a good scroll sesh, and then gradually, one by one, we were like, ‘Oh my God, have you seen this? Oh my God, this appeared on the internet, and it’s Harry Styles covering ‘Wet Dream”,” she remembered.“Hester always describes it as [being like] we were watching intergalactic television like on Rick and Morty.
