Manori Ravindran Executive Editor of International Apple TV+ thriller “Suspicion” is set to hit the sales block in Cannes at this year’s MipTV market. Keshet International has revealed that the eight-part series starring Uma Thurman will headline its drama slate at the spring TV market in France, which kicks off on April 17. The Israeli TV distributor will shop linear rights for the series. Apple TV+ commissioned Keshet U.K. to produce “Suspicion,” which is based on the popular Israeli series “False Flag” and launched on the service in February 2022. Its sales foray marks one of the rare instances where an original on a streamer (that’s still available globally on the platform) has been sold on the open market for linear rights.

Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief ITV has commissioned a second season of the comedy-drama series “The Dry” for ITVX. It will be produced by Element Pictures (part of Fremantle), in association with Fís Eireann/Screen Ireland and ITV Studios, in partnership with RTÉ. Nancy Harris (Dates) and acclaimed director Paddy Breathnach (Viva, Rosie) will return to helm the second season, which will stream exclusively on ITVX next year. The first season was made available to view for free on the streamer last month. With the story picking up seven months after the end of the first, Roisin Gallagher will return as recovering alcoholic Shiv Sheridan, alongside regular cast members from the first series. Zach Cregger’s bloody feature film will arrive on HBO Max on Oct. 25. Alongside a 4k Ultra HD release, the digital version will also include never-before-seen bonus scenes, behind-the-scenes footage and extra commentary. Cregger’s debut horror film (which ranked No. 2 on Variety‘s list of this year’s top horror movies) got the internet buzzing as soon as the jam-packed trailer came out in June. Since hitting theaters last month, it’s received rave reviews online, with most noting its impressive jump-scares, eerie tonal shifts and crazy plot twists. The film follows a young woman, played by Georgina Campbell, as she discovers the rental home she’s booked is already occupied by a stranger. Against her better judgement, Tess ends up sharing the derelict Detroit apartment with a man named Keith (Bill Skarsgård) until she realizes that a monster is lurking in the house and she has to figure out how to defeat it.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter The “Goosebumps” series in the works at Disney+ has added Justin Long to its cast as a series regular, Variety learned exclusively. The show is based on the R.L. Stine book series of the same name. Variety exclusively reported the show had been ordered at Disney+ back in February. Per the official logline, “The series follows a group of five high schoolers who unleash supernatural forces upon their town and must all work together — thanks to and in spite of their friendships, rivalries and pasts with each other — in order to save it, learning much about their own parents’ teenage secrets in the process.” According to Disney Branded Television, the series is influenced by five of the most popular “Goosebumps” books.

Don’t Worry Darling topped the US box office over the weekend earning $19.2 million in its first big screen outing. The thriller, about a utopian 1950s desert community, directed by Olivia Wilde, overcame bad reviews and rumors about behind-the-scenes troubles to come out on top, according to Box Office Mojo. The debut is disappointing considering the film, starring Wilde, Harry Styles, Florence Pugh and Chris Pine, cost $35 million to make.The Woman King, starring Viola Davis, easily captured second place. Though “Barbarian” landed a tepid “C+” CinemaScore, the twisty thriller is benefitting from word-of-mouth, given the film’s zany and flat-out terrifying turns. Justin Long spoke fondly of his time working with Britney Spears on Tuesday while commemorating the 20th anniversary of , the film they co-starred in.«I remember her being so down-to-earth, like disarmingly down-to-earth,» he told ET's Cassie DiLaura at a press event for his upcoming film, . Long and Spears both appeared in the 2002 feature , which told the story of three teenage girls -- Lucy, Kit and Mimi -- who embark on a cross-country road trip to Los Angeles. Spears appeared alongside Taryn Manning and Zoe Saldana as the three girls, and Long played an old friend with whom Spears' Lucy had a short fling. «I remember being struck by how normal and easygoing she seemed for all the hoopla surrounding her,» he continued, «and then a couple years later seeing what the paparazzi did to her, it was really sad that we live in that kind of culture that can do that to a human being. She was so nice to everyone.»Long's latest film, is the story of a young woman -- played by Georgina Campbell -- who discovers the rental home she booked is already occupied by a stranger (played by Long) and also potentially possessed by another mysterious being. The film comes from the same production team as and, and Long promises it will hold up against that hard-to-beat collection of scary movies. «I think it'll be a worthy entry in that canon,» he said. Long's girlfriend, Kate Bosworth, also briefly appears in the film.
