Emmerdale fans don't think it'll quite be the happily ever after Gabby Thomas is hoping for after Nicky popped the question after a mere few weeks of dating. The character, played by Lewis Cope, made his first appearance in the Dales back in December when he became the new nanny at Home Farm.

Lewis Cope is a recent addition to the Emmerdale cast but it hasn't taken long for him to win over fans. The star plays Nicky, a childminder who succeeded in nabbing a job as a live in nanny at Home Farm in December 2022, and he's been a staple in the Dales ever since.

Ever since being mentored by Emmerdale ’s original femme fatale Kim Tate, Gabby Thomas has become a go-getting man-eater in her own right. Over recent months, fans have been treated to scenes of her sneaking in a spot of illicit love-making with her sexy nanny Nicky (Lewis Cope). Now actress Rosie Bentham, 21, who plays Gabby, reveals she’s enjoyed filming the pair’s passionate encounters.

Emmerdale spoilers look set for explosive scenes next week as Caleb Milligan catches Gabby Thomas and Nicky amid their secret romance. Viewers will recall that Nicky started working as a nanny last year at Home Farm and it wasn't long until he caught the attention of Gabby - with the two since embarking in a steamy affair.

The filming of Emmerdale was cancelled on Friday as heavy snowfall battered the UK, making the roads particularly treacherous on the way to the iconic soap’s set. The ITV soap, which first aired in 1972, is currently filmed on a purpose-built set on the Harewood Estate in West Yorkshire.

Emmerdale lines up changes aplenty next week, but there are still a number of shocks in store, including a jaw-dropping death!It’s the grand opening for the B&B, and Bernice Blackstock (Samatha Giles) and Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) are determined to make it a day to remember. That is, until Bernice’s attention proves to be elsewhere as she spends the night with Tim – the harpist she’s booked to play for the big day!Things then take a shocking turn as Tim fails to show up to the event, and Bob is forced to explain to her that he’s found him dead!Marshall Hamston (Max Fletcher), meanwhile, has another conversation with Arthur Thomas (Alfie Clarke) in upcoming scenes, reiterating his previous stance – that they can no longer be friends.  Arthur is, again, devastated, and thus Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) comforts him, offering him some words of support.

Dressed in a selection of colourful outfits, five of the show’s younger cast members, Jessie Elland, Rosie Bentham, Katie Hill, Daisy Campbell and Karene Peter looked nearly unrecognisable as they channelled their best retro vibes while paying homage to 1972 in particular - the year Emmerdale first aired.
