The jury in Danny Masterson’s rape retrial has begun deliberations.

“It all starts with a drink,” said deputy District Attorney Ariel Anson today in closing arguments in Danny Masterson’s rape retrial. “How many times have you heard the defendant ask, would you like a drink? This is his play book, this is what he does…how he ensures to get what he wants.”

Three weeks after opening statements began, Danny Masterson’s rape retrial today rested. Yet, with the former That 70s Show actor once again facing a trio of sexual assault charges and potentially years behind bars, the Church of Scientology is back in the courtroom spotlight.

Cruise did not attend the ceremony.  It's not clear if Carmichael was insinuating that Cruise might have some knowledge of Shell's whereabouts.

Dark for the past two days, Danny Masterson’s rape trial resumed Wednesday with testimony from Jane Doe #2 about the former That ‘70s Show star’s alleged assault of her in 2003. However, before the last of the trio of women at the heart of the case had her time on the stand today, the defense accused former Scientologist and The King of Queens star Leah Remini of potentially denying their client a “fair trial.”

With a jury finally selected and seated, Danny Masterson’s trial on multiple rape charges began today with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office putting the Church of Scientology front and center. 

The Supreme Court begins a new term today, but the Church of Scientology and Danny Masterson won’t be on the docket.
