Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has cast doubt on whether the Premier League should carry on through a second national lockdown.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the restrictions on Saturday with all non-essential services to close from Thursday for a four-week period.
Elite sport has been given an exemption to continue as normal, although fans will still be prohibited from attending matches.
The Premier League paused its season when the country went into the first lockdown, resuming only when a fully-operational testing system was in place.
