Former Arsenal and England midfielder Paul Merson believes Manchester United's ongoing failings are partly as a result of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being unable to settle on his best team.
Throughout the Norwegian's tenure as United boss he has had a tendency to chop and change, particularly of late, although United's starting line-up against Liverpool on Sunday was exactly same as the XI that started against Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League four days earlier.
However, it is in midfield where changes have been a constant theme in recent weeks, with Paul Pogba finding himself in and out of the team and summer signing Jadon Sancho being awarded with the odd opportunity here and there.
