Thomas Tuchel. I feel sorry for him. He's not a politician and he can't answer the sort of questions he's been getting. That's where the club should step in and send someone from the board out. It's all very well thinking some other mega-rich owner will come along, buy the club, and keep the good times rolling.
It's not as simple as that.Arsenal have big owners. But they don't pay £90m for players. Not many owners want to do that - even Abramovich was making do selling to buy the last few years. And you can't compete with Manchester City's spending power for long doing that.
So do you buy Chelsea as a toy? Because if you want to compete you have to spend a fortune. You can't keep on selling Academy players to compete with a team like City who have a whole country behind them.Chelsea are selling a player every now and then.
But City are buying them all the time. The gap is only going to get bigger the longer that goes on.Who knows what's going to happen now.
