Paul Ince has urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to start Nemanja Matic in order to allow the Serb to bring a better balance to Manchester United’s midfield.
Matic has only started three times for United in the Premier League this season, with Solskjaer preferring to partner Fred and Scott McTominay in the middle of the park.
However, Fred has been the target of criticism after some disappointing performances in recent weeks, a run which has coincided with the Red Devils winning just three of their last eight games across all competitions.
Former United midfielder Ince has called on Solskjaer to drop McTominay and Fred in favour of Matic. "It’s all about number fours, number six, number eights – sod all that!
