Angry and despairing parents "a generation of dumb kids" after Boris Johnson announced schools will be closed until at least March 8.
Thousands of parents are struggling to balance home schooling with work during a lockdown that will drag on for at least another five weeks before restrictions begin to be eased.
Their hopes that their children would return to school after the February half-term break were dashed by the Prime Minister, who said they must continue online learning despite the original promise to families.
But education unions have warned it could be too early to commit to the reopening of schools on March 8, with one teaching union leader arguing that immunity of the four most vulnerable groups "is not enough in itself".
