Schools could reopen to primary and exam year pupils first as part of a "staggered" return to the classroom in England. The Department for Education is looking at options for how schools open their doors - amid confusion about when it will happen.

Boris Johnson has refused to rule out a return as late as after the Easter holidays. Fresh reports now suggest schools will not open all at once.
