Overwatch Down: PS4 Server Status and huge queue times hit Blizzard Battlenet

dailystar.co.ukOverwatch is down this evening with reports spiking of problems for the games servers and users reporting huge queues. The Down Detector outage map shows that Blizzards BattleNet service is also encountering problems.
This appears to be a global issue, with players affected in the UK, Europe and United States. At the time of writing the Blizzard Entertainment European English Language Customer Support has not announced any issues.
Likewise the https://eu.battle.net/support/en/ website has not noted any issues (yet). More to follow. This is a breaking news story and is constantly being updated with new information as it becomes available.
