Many tentpoles were pushed to 2021, leaving streamers like Netflix, Apple TV+, Disney+ and HBO Max to prove that all the other great films don't need to be seen in theaters, as the Academy loosened its exhibition requirement.
With 12 potential contenders — including Spike Lee's Da 5 Bloods, David Fincher's Mank, George Clooney's The Midnight Sky and Aaron Sorkin's The Trial of the Chicago.
