A person has died after riding a glass slide in China in a wet weather pile-up that left dozens injured. Tourists were sent flying and crashed into into one another as they rode on the attraction in Liaoning Province, in north east China, according to reports.
The slide is promoted as a fun way to descend a mountain in the Hugu Valley. But downpours in the region this week caused chaos on the 3,230ft-long glass-bottomed slide.
The operator of the attraction issued a statement confirming the death in the incident at about 1.30pm Wednesday. The statement said sudden heavy rain caused speeds on the slide to increase, and tourists collided, killing one.
